Surf Report

1st November 2017

There are still good waves on Bali's West coast, but gradually the winds are swinging now, making the East coast start to turn on. Spots like Nusa Dua, Keramas and Turtle Island have been glassy during October, with a few head high days already. The Rainy Season will start soon, so crowds are very light for the next few months, until around April next year when the sunshine should return. But Last year's El Nino conditions delivered epic "Best Waves of a Lifetime" with two huge swells in October and November, proving Indo can always turn it on.

Bali's 2017 peak surf season started earlier than usual, with some great uncrowded sessions all over Indo starting in March.

April and May were especially good and glassy. Then June kicked in with ultra-high tides and massive swells. July saw solid 8-10 foot swells at Padang-Padang. Thank you El Nino!

* Last year many Bali flights were cancelled due to Volcanic ash from nearby East Java and Lombok. And now Bali's Gunung Agung volcano has started to rumble. Although skies are still 100% clear now, make sure you get Travel Insurance the same day you book any flights or hotels. Then you'll be covered for any delays or expenses if a Volcano kicks up again, or you or family "break a leg" and have to cancel your trip before you even leave!

INDO SURF TRAVEL INSURANCE covers you for UNLIMITED Cancellation costs, UNLIMITED Emergency Hospital and UNLIMITED Medevac flights (Comprehensive level). SURFBOARDS are covered up to $700 each.
