Gradgagan G-Land

G-LAND

Java is one of the most densely populated islands on earth, yet Grajagan nestles quietly in the depths of a thick jungle rainforest on Java’s south-eastern tip.  On a clear day, you can even see it from Bali.

A unique freak of nature, it is without doubt the world’s most awe-inspiring, consistently overhead left-hand reefbreak.

Every goofy footer in the world should try to surf G-Land at least once in his or her life. You won’t regret it. Do it while you’re young!

Access to Grajagan is strictly controlled by the National Park rangers, so you can only stay at the camps with the necessary permits. Living in a bamboo tree-house, challenging Grajagan’s very long, fast walls is the ultimate jungle adventure! The trip from Bali takes 2 hours by Fast Boat, or over 8 hours by overland minibus. Currently Joyo’s includes the boat in all packages, Bobby’s as an optional extra. A new “Glamping” Tent Camp is opening in 2019.

There are also great Rights “around the corner” in the Wet Season.
